| Details: Join the Food and AgriBusiness Committee in welcoming John Wade, the new Agricultural Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok. John will be speaking to the Committee on "Developments in Vietnam's Agriculture and Its Increasing Competitiveness". John just arrived In Bangkok to take up his new post in early July. He was previously the U.S. Agricultural Counselor in Hanoi for four years. John was born and raised on a farm in northwest Missouri. He received a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Missouri. He has also served in Manila as Agricultural Attache (1994-1998) and in Beijing as the Senior Agricultural Attache (1999-2003). He has spent considerable time in Thailand, particularly in the rural areas. We hope that you and your staff will take this opportunity to meet John and welcome him to his new position! |
