AMCHAM INTERNSHIP
Description
AMCHAM Thailand offers an internship program for both Thai and foreign undergraduate and graduate university students (or recent graduates) throughout the year to provide hands-on experience in an international business environment. The AMCHAM Internship Program is especially beneficial for the undergraduate and graduate students who are seeking to gain experience in administration, corporate public policy, economics, marketing, public relations, and other business related fields. Interns substantially contribute to the lasting success of AMCHAM Thailand.
Interns can enjoy broad range of experiences while working at AMCHAM. We treat all interns with professionalism, and we expect a professional attitude and commitment to work from them. All interns must be fluent in both spoken and written English and computer literate. Basic knowledge of the economy and governmental policies are also beneficial.
One of the unique benefits that AMCHAM offers our interns is the opportunity to attend all AMCHAM meetings and events, including general membership meetings and committee meetings. At these meetings, interns can enjoy the chance to meet and network with successful business leaders from various fields, as well as hear presentations made by world-class guest speakers from Thailand and abroad.
As a non-profit organization, AMCHAM is not able to offer its interns the monetary compensation they may be able to receive in the private sector. However, AMCHAM provides value no other organization can offer. Our interns are able to receive exposure we believe is essential for someone who aspires to enter the business world.
All summer internships are full-time. Fall and spring internships have flexible hours, given that the intern can work at least a fifteen hour work week. Interns are expected to cover transportation costs to and from Thailand (if applicable) and arrange their own accommodations.
Requirements
- Undergraduate or graduate university student or recent graduate
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Friendly and open to new experiences
- Willing to attend and help at events
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, online research and web-based tools
