AMCHAM Thailand Appoints New Board President
The newly-elected Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM Thailand) has appointed Jeffrey Nygaard, Senior Vice President, Global Operations, for Seagate Technology as new Board President to lead the Chamber in 2017.
Jeff joined Seagate in 1994 and over the last twenty years has held a variety of executive positions of increasing scope in Development and Operations across Asia, Europe and the U.S. He is currently responsible for Seagate’s highly automated, analytic-driven operations across sites in Thailand, Malaysia, China, Northern Ireland and the United States.
Jeff joined AMCHAM’S Board of Governors in 2011 and after two two-year terms stepped down for a mandated one year break. He was re-elected to the 2017 Board and unanimously appointed as President by its members. Jeff identifies advocacy and corporate social responsibility as key priorities for the Chamber in 2017. “AMCHAM will continue to be the voice of American businesses in Thailand and we will work closely with the Thai government to ensure that Thailand continues to be pro-business and pro-investment, so that the country remains a leading investment and business destination in Asia,” Jeff says.
